Recently some large patches have been committed to the XEmacs CVS repository. A first set of patches by Jerry James removes unused parameters to some internal functions. I suspect that one of these patches is responsible for the gnuclient and Xft-XEmacs issue: Connecting to a running Xft-XEmacs with gnuclient yields an empty window. I think I know how to fix this. However, I plan to wait till second mega-patch has been committed before putting a new version of the Xft patch on my homepage. This patch seems to be harmless from Xft-XEmacs’ point of view.
